Welcome to Salt & Sway, a charming coastal cottage in Bid-A-Wee on the quiet West End of Panama City Beach. This is a 1 minute walk to the private beach right across the street. No high rises here! This classic beach home offers vintage character, unbeatable location, and rare private gated beach access (with code). You're truly steps from the sand, plus you'll enjoy your own private pool and a huge patio with seating for large groups, perfect for grilling, dining, and relaxing together. Inside you'll find vintage cottage charm and comfortable spaces for families or friends. Salt & Sway is ideal for guests who value unbeatable proximity to the beach, a peaceful neighborhood, outdoor space, and laid-back coastal living.
Enter through the cute sunroom/porch (perfect for an early morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine) then step into the open dining room and kitchen area. Off the dining area are two bedrooms connected by a Jack & Jill bathroom. Bedroom 1 has two double beds (perfect for kids or extra guests) and bedroom 2 has 1 queen bed. Past the kitchen is the cozy den/living room, which leads to the Primary Bedroom (1 king bed), and a back bedroom (1 queen bed). The primary bedroom and back bedroom share a separate hallway bathroom. Altogether, The Salty Palm comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests across 4 bedrooms. Note: the only way to access the back bedroom is via the primary bedroom.

You'll also enjoy covered parking, making arrivals easy and keeping cars shaded.
This classic cottage layout works best for families and groups who enjoy shared spaces and togetherness, perfect for beach days, pool time, and relaxed evenings on the patio.
The backyard is truly the star of Salt & Sway. Enjoy a large private pool with safety features available (Katch-A-Kid pool net available, self latching fence with gate, back door has high latch and additional alarm). The expansive patio offers plenty of space for outdoor dining, lounging by the pool, yard games, and evening gatherings, plus a dedicated grilling area for easy group meals.
After beach days (did we mention how close it is!), rinse off in the outdoor shower, then settle in around the seating areas with a drink while the kids play. With room for large group dining, relaxed poolside lounging, and open yard space, this outdoor setup was designed for making memories together.

NOTE: A REFUNDABLE $500 SECURITY DEPOSIT HOLD WILL BE PLACED ON YOUR CREDIT CARD AT THE TIME OF BOOKING. THIS HOLD IS AUTOMATICALLY RELEASED WITHIN 5-7 BUSINESS DAYS FOLLOWING YOUR CHECKOUT, ASSUMING NO DAMAGE OR EXCESSIVE CLEANING IS REQUIRED. WE ALSO SEND A SHORT RENTAL AGREEMENT VIA EMAIL PRIOR TO YOUR STAY, JUST A SIMPLE FORMALITY THAT PROTECTS BOTH OF US AND ENSURES EVERYONE IS ON THE SAME PAGE BEFORE YOU ARRIVE.

House Rules:
-no smoking, no vaping, no other drug use
-no pets
-no parties or unauthorized guests in the property
-we have cigarette smoke/marijuana smoke detectors and noise detectors inside the house
- there are two outdoor ring cameras at this property. One is by the entrance and the other the back door by the pool.

Noted Pool Rules:
- Guests swim at their own risk - no children may swim unattended
- no glassware around or in pool
- no diving or horseplay
- if any non swimmers are staying, we recommend using door alarms, top latch locks, and katch a kid net in addition to the self latching pool fence.

-You're planning a family beach vacation and need room for everyone up to 8 adults comfortably and 10 people with kids included
-You want a private pool without fighting the crowds
-You love the charm of a classic Gulf Coast beach cottage. We have added modern touches throughout including USB chargers, smart TVs, and some battery operated lighting and lamps.
-You don't want to drive to the beach or walk longer than 10 minutes. Here you are one minute away. Just a quick crosswalk and toes in the sand!
-You want access to a private, gated beach exclusive to the Bid-A-Wee community. No high rises, no resort crowds, just your neighbors and the Gulf
-You want a full kitchen, private outdoor space, and room to actually live for a week.

Salt & Sway may not be the right fit if:
-You expect a modern, newly renovated home. Salt & Sway is a lovingly maintained 1950s beach cottage with all the character that comes with it. There are definitely old house quirks but we love it!
-small bathrooms are a dealbreaker. Ours are cozy and vintage, not spa-sized.
-You're visiting in the winter and expecting a heated pool. Ours is solar-warmed by the Florida sun, which is perfect spring through fall but may run cooler in the off season.
-You're looking for a party or event venue. We're a family beach house, not an event space.
-You have toddlers that will be difficult to continually supervise around a private pool
